How do we instill compassion in our children’s hearts? Jake’s Diapers is hosting a Barefoot Open Hearts & Minds Party!
Do you need quality, educational books for the little loved ones in your life? Do you want to make a difference in the life of a baby in extreme poverty at the same time? Jake’s Diapers is hosting a Barefoot Open Hearts & Minds Party! If you happen to live in the Appleton, Wisconsin area, come on out for a get together on Tuesday, November 18th! If you’re in Appleton on November 18th, then come on out for a fun gathering! This grown-ups only get-together is a chance to reflect on ways we can cultivate compassion in our children and expose them to diversity. It’s a meaningful time together with like-minded parents where we go beyond the small talk. In addition to cultivating compassion in our own children, this Barefoot Party will show compassion to other children in need; as a benefit for Jake’s Diapers and the Alleluia Children & Caregivers Playgroup. A generous portion of book sales will be donated to help continue the ministry of Jake’s Diapers, and to help kick-start the new Alleluia C&C Playgroup Ministry. Coffee and dessert will be provided, RSVP to ensure enough coffee & dessert to go around! Jake’s Diapers, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit cloth diaper ministry helping those in need, whose caregivers have to choose between food & diapers. Founded in April of 2013, Jake’s Diapers has impacted the lives of over 1.450 babies in need, in twelve countries, including our own Fox Valley backyard. The Alleluia Children & Caregivers Playgroup is a new ministry of Alleluia Lutheran Church. This educational playgroup is open to all children 0-5 in the community, and their caregivers. Jake’s Diapers is proud to partner with the Alleluia C&C playgroup, to lend a helping hand in earning educational books to help local children learn compassion to those around the world. The Alleluia family has been very supportive of the work Jake’s Diapers has done, and this is an opportunity to help them kickstart their new ministry, and to continue to help babies in need, wherever they may be.
